Greeting Cards

My greeting cards are printed on high quality recycled card stock and finished with an aqueous coating to protect the card and allow the beauty to shine.

My cards are being printed through a company in Augusta, Maine by the name of J.S. McCarthy. The card stock itself and J.S. McCarthy are both approved by the Forest Stewardship Counsel (FSC). They are at the forefront of environmental preservation at their facility. Among many other environmental initiatives taken by J.S. McCarthy, three of them stick out to me.

1. They use soy based inks in all their printing processes.

2. They recycle 100% of the waste from the trimming that goes along with the printing process. (Over 100 tons per month!)

3. 100% of the power they use at their facility is produces by wind.

My cards show the recycled logo, the FSC logo and the wind power logo. I am proud to be in business with J.S. McCarthy because I believe it allows LowSun Photography to be a more responsible business, and it allows me to market my products to folks like you who are as environmentally conscious as I.
